Location & Area
We are situated on the banks of Lochs Glencoul and Glendhu and ideally placed to explore the Assynt peninsula to the south west which is an outstandingly beautiful area and the glorious white beaches to the north as far as the north coast with Durness, Cape Wrath and Tongue. While we are right on the coast, we are surrounded on all other sides by mountains, lochs and moorland where you will encounter a stunning variety of wild animals and birds, including deer, seals, otters, sea eagles, golden eagles, puffins and much more besides.
We can help you plan your days here whether you want to enjoy a road trip or walk, climb, cycle, explore beaches or caves, take a boat or canoe trip. Some of the nearby places include Handa Island Bird Reserve, Cape Wrath, Scotland’s first “Global Geopark”, Ardvreck Castle ruins to name but a few.
